Randomness of September. Mini posts!

Photobucket Random morning.

Our friends came up to visit (kevin and melanie) which was totally awesome! It stinkers that they moved so far. From our night at Kevin's dad's house.

James joined a group called Halo 3 in the workplace. They got VIP access to play the new Halo ODST game before everyone else. James thought it was pretty fun...and nice to see people question why they got to go ahead of everyone. They had this truck with the game inside. Pretty beefy truck!

Elijah, the cutest boy ever!

We have been trying to do projects a couple of times a week besides the regular playdoh and coloring. This day we did some stained glass painting things.

Holland.

After Izzie was born, we realized that we really need a point and shoot camera. I was walking around taking pictures right after having her because it was hard to try to show people how to use my big ol' camera. A lot of pictures came out blurry and if you look back over our family pictures, I'm usually not in them. SO we got a new camera for James so he could take pictures. It is pretty awesome too. It has HD video capability and well, I'm not a camera salesman...but it was nice for the money. So we took lots of pictures on our first little trip as a family.

After the summer of not doing anything...I was super antsy to get out of the house and do something! I really LOVE Lake Michigan and want to make it there at least once a year. So when Izzie was 3 weeks old we headed over for the night to Holland. We visited Tunnel Beach on Saturday for the sunset, went back to the pool at the hotel, then back to the beach, Holland State Park on Sunday. We also stopped downtown Holland and had a healthy lunch of Kilwin's Ice Cream. YUM! The kids enjoyed the beach. Elijah especially liked the sand. He was allowed to be covered in sand and didn't get in trouble when throwing handfuls into the lake! He likes to throw sand but usually it ends up in a cousin's hair so it was a nice change. I really enjoyed sitting on the beach with Izzie and just watching the kids (and James) play and make sandcastles. Just smelling the air at the beach is worth the drive.

Roger + Sarah!

So I haven't had much of a chance to edit these either... most are mine but the family pics are a courtesy of Kate...who totally saved my butt for their photos. I was obviously very pregnant and distracted...and not comfortable walking, let alone carrying my camera around and taking pictures.... Anyway, Roger and Sarah were married on August 8th! Here are some pictures from their day.

I can't believe that my little brother is married!! It is amazing to think of 14 years ago and how much he used to drive me nuts. Yeah, we didn't along a lot of the time when I was in Jr. High and thinking I was all cool. He was into Bush and Green Day...wanting to make a band and use garbage can lids for drums. Silly kids. We both had attitudes and tempers. I remember the times we got along too... we liked to play football and people would always underestimate us because, well...I was a girl, Roger wasn't all that big, and Matt was really short. But it was so much fun to waste them and see the looks on their face! Ha, or riding bikes in the rain and having crab apple fights. I love my siblings!
