A New Mr. Mattila to come!!

Hi Everyone! James and I went for the ultrasound yesterday. We are excited to be having a boy! No ultrasound pictures to show yet. We only got one and it isn't that interesting because it is just his spine. He was curled up in a ball so they couldn't get measurements and I have to go back in a few weeks to try again. He is right on schedule from what they could see, so the due date didn't change. Still Feb 15th. We are still thinking on the name...as most of you know, we have a name picked out Elijah Christopher James but we are still toying with a few others. Below are some pictures when we got back home.

Also, as an update, James' car is fine now. Thankfully, it was not a big or expensive job! (yay for having a car guy as a father-in-law! thanks bob!)

5 Months

September is almost over.

So today started out not that great. James' car broke, we all have colds, and Berlin was ill (lets just leave it at that). Anyway, keeping Berlin inside doesn't work that great because she can see that the puppy is outside and she is then unsatisfied with playing indoors. We went outside and the second I pulled out my camera, she went running. I managed to get like 4 pictures of her....note the last one included a bribe. ;)

So this morning, Berlin decided she was going to wake up at 4:15am....lovely! And she hasn't gone back to sleep yet but while I was lying on her bed half asleep and half watching her play, she decided she didn't need clothes or a diaper. We have begun potty training, basically letting her sit on the potty and trying to have her recognize when she is wet...and so now, when she is wet she likes to just take off her diaper. Fun fun.

Yesterday was such a nice day out...and my wonderful sister Chrissy surprised me by not having to work AND not having plans! So, we decided to head out to Frankenmuth to walk around and have ice cream. Here are some pictures...beware, we get a little camera happy and this is only about 1/10th!

Meeting Noah.

This last week Berlin met her cousin Noah at the mall to play. She hadn't seen him since she was 5 months old. They sure have changed since last time!
