Turtle Power!

Here is a little taste of our weekend! :) We like to bike ride--lots. So this last weekend while on our bike ride to the park, James spotted a teeny turtle. We stopped to show the kids and ended up taking it home with us. Berlin has named it Daisy (which is also the name of her made up friend...who has quite the attitude according to Berlin)... although, she is now insisting that the turtle's name is just Turtle. We've kept it this week, we got it some turtle food and read up on painter turtles...but the thing isn't eating its food...so we may be letting it go. But so far it has been a neat experience.

Here are a couple...many more from the weekend to come (including the paintballing!):

June already!?

We had a great weekend! Friday we did a food drive with our church which had a great turn out. We had a ton of clothes and food and within an hour, all the clothes were gone.
Saturday we went out and got bikes and a kid bike trailer so that we can start doing family bike rides. James' new bike is a cool graphite color and mine is bright pink (also got some shoes to match! :D) We ended up only having time to go around the block a couple times, but Berlin loved it.
Sunday we went to the Seymore Lake Park in Oxford with the Warnke's and then went to Cook's Farm Dairy for ice cream. The kids were hilarious with the cows. There was one cow that seemed rather upset at being in the pen and kept mooing very unhappily, the kids seemed to be fine until that unsettling sound came at them.

James' new bike and Berlin in the trailer.
Berlin on her bike.
Berlin being a ham. Gabe likes to run fast!
The dairy farm.
The silos made noise and Berlin insisted there were airplanes in there.

Making cow noises.....MOOOOOO.

Ruff Dawg.

I had to post this picture! People were coming up to this guy on his Harley and taking pictures with their cell phones...I turn around and see this dog just hanging out on the back of this motorcycle. It isn't just the Paris Hiltonites that dress their dog up and tote them around!

**Oh, and I toyed around with some equally cheesey titles for this...including 'bad to the bone'. I couldn't resist the cheese and corn due to this post**

The Repeater.

The first image is sort of a repeat of last year. She was looking through the fence again and I actually like this one better than last year's pic that is hanging on my wall. Also, in the topic of repeating, I've been trying to figure out where Berlin is learning some of the new phrases she says... one in particular is "oh, man!". It is so cute when she says it. I've figured it out...that Dora the Explorer show. She doesn't even watch it but it is on after her Yo Gabba Gabba fave show and the intro has that in it. Weird. Ha, a new one she started the other day that she learned from Gabe..."stupid car"...trying to knock that out of her vocabulary right now. I'm hoping that she'll just forget it. :D I know, I know...she won't be sheltered forever but I don't want her saying things like "stupid" or "butthead" until she is at least 4. Ha.

This squirrel was just minding his own business on the fence and out of NO WHERE a bird just started attacking it. Seriously freaked me out. Started pecking at his head and the squirrel went running but the bird was flying right with him, beating him up. Poor squirrel. I hate birds! Creepy disease carrying flying devil creatures!

Still no news on whether my foot is broken or just a sprain but I've got this ugly boot thing on and am supposed to stay off of it. Crutches are not exactly easy accessories when having to carry Eli or do basically anything for the kids. I'm hoping it will heal fast.
