New Years Experiment.

On New Year's Eve, Chrissy braved the cold for me to try out some different lighting...I just now got to playing with them. I've also been checking out new textures and decided to try it on these. Here you go Chrissy! Sorry it took so long!!

Two weeks and counting!

We went to Snowfest in Frankenmuth for a little while this last weekend. It was okay...there were too many people and it made it hard to enjoy. While we were there we saw this very sad horse posted below. He looked bummed. I had to take a picture.

Yesterday, Berlin kept bugging me to take her picture. OH no, what have I done?! Ha! She loves getting her picture taken. And she likes to see herself on video, so she was very disappointed when the camcorder she brought me to record her on had a dead battery. So, she sat and watched some home videos of herself for a half hour. She laughs and bounces up and down while pointing out all the people in the videos. Pretty entertaining for me to see.

ONLY 2 weeks until my due date! Yipee!

Berlin at Snowfest and the sad horse.
Berlin posing for me :)
She was making all sorts of faces. Which usually led to her scary face. Silly kid.
She was shaking and dancing for the camera. Then run over and see what she looked like.

Light and Oranges.

More playing around.

Monday Monday.

Today, I feel very accomplished! I actually had some energy today and did many errands that I have been putting off for a while. Finished getting my business tax info together and started figuring out a new accounting program. As of late, that is quite a day! :D

Part of it is due to my relaxing evenings! James and I decided to implement some new discipline in our own life and the past couple of days it has been working nicely. It is helping give some more order to my day, which I like. Our new discipline is to not have the tv on or do recreational activities until 8pm--basically we do our thing until dinner and then from about 7-8 we straighten up the house and play with Berlin until she goes to bed. So far, so good! Might sound kind of lame, but the small "rule" made a big difference to get things done. And I was able to relax at 8! It gets to be a lot when the day never ends! lol. It is nice to have some set aside family playtime too.

In other random news, James fixed our bathroom faucet. If you know James, that is awesome! :) Our faucet started not shutting off. Not trickling, just full blast water streams. All of a sudden, I hear "I am all that is man!" coming from the bathroom--and TA DAH, the faucet is fixed! YAY!

2008 website!!

HELLO! I'm super excited because my new website is up! Check it out and let me know what you think! http://www.byamandamae.com/

Also, I have lots more time on my hands lately and have been trying to take pictures even more. I actually learned a few new photoshop tricks today. See the last picture. Anyway, here are a couple of Berlin. Someone taught her to say cheese...not me, but she started to say cheese everytime I took a picture.

Scary face!

Cheese!

Standing on her tip toes, per usual. I know, kinda weird picture...

Sepia picture with color painted overlay. Not sure what I'll use it for, but it is different.

January Random.

Oh boy, a month away! Getting excited! I've been working on baby announcements and blanket making. Hopefully, we will have his room organized soon.

I am looking forward to taking a few photography classes this year because I'd like to learn some more lighting techniques. Photography is a fun art, but it is also so mathematical sometimes and it would be nice to learn hands on. Anyway, the first picture was me just playing around and I ended up liking the way it looked. And here are a few others from the other day:

A gloomy but unusually warm day for January.

Berlin coloring while trying to imitate James working.
She loves the mirror. She cracks herself up.
She did this all by herself.

Climbed up on the bed and jammed away while I was listening to music.

Tongue out!

This she really got into with singing and everything!

35 weeks!

Kate took some pictures of me today! We went to the art museum with Berlin and Eva and she snapped away. It is a little weird being the subject. But it was fun!! So here is me! 35 weeks along! I can't believe it is so close to over! It is so weird how fast it went by this time.
